I picked up surfing a few years ago and have been having so much fun with it. I used to sleep in late and hang around the house all day, which I thought was great until a good friend of my encouraged me to hit the waves with him one summer. At first, I was terrible, but there was just something about this sport that kept me coming back. I started to get the hang of it after the first week and I have been working with instructors and surfing with my more experienced friends in order to get good fast. I have fallen so hard for this sport that I even wake up early to catch the best waves before other surfers get out to the beach- there is nothing more awesome than being alone out on the water with your longboard and having the perfect wave all to yourself.
My buddies saw how good I have gotten and recommended that I buy a more advanced board. I did some research and I settled on a fish surfboard. It is so much lighter than my other board which means I have to work harder to stabilize myself, but I go so much faster. It is also much shorter than my longboard; it is only about five and a half feet long. Even though it has taken some getting used to, I have really enjoyed the challenge of my new fish surfboard and I know it is going to make me a better surfer.
