There are always new takes on old sports, with different adaptations and new concepts. Usually though, these concepts don’t necessarily hold up to their predecessors. I’m a firm believer in not overdoing things, and trying to make something out of nothing. But, the latest, stand up paddle surfing, changes my philosophy on tweaking ideas. It’s like surfing, but you have a paddle, making it easier to balance, and the nice thing about it is that you don’t necessarily have to be on the ocean. You can use them anywhere that has water; a river, a lake, or the ocean. I tried this sport when I was on vacation a few months ago, and instantly fell in love with it. It just offers a different dynamic on the already great sport of surfing, and I was automatically engaged in the sport.
