For years, I have been surfing on my longboard. I learned how to surf on this baby and I simply did not want to give her up, we have been through everything together! We got beat up in the same surf, rode the best waves in Hawaii together, and even did decently in some amateur surfing contests. Lately though, I have noticed she was looking a bit worn out. She no longer waits by the door at 5 AM ready to hit the ocean; I have to drag her out of the closet now. I decided to give her a break and give myself more of a challenge. I know this board is my shorter than my longboard, it is just under 6 feet long, but it is also much lighter. That means I can go faster!
