Foam Surfboards are a Phenomenon
Friday, August 15th, 2008There are some things in life that just are, like gravity, buoyancy, and the fact that the Giants won the Super Bowl last year. They just have to be accepted, for what they are, because if you try to break it down, and rationalize how and why they happened, you’ll end up even more confused and bewildered. Gravity for example, without it, you can bounce around and float for eternity. It seems cool at first, but if you didn’t have a spacesuit to get you back down, it wouldn’t seem so great. With buoyancy, it’s always made me wonder, what is it that makes it float? I can see foam surfboards floating, because it’s foam, and it just makes sense. They’re actually one of the best surfboards to have, I got mine from this site, which is why I’m posting this blog, and that’s when I started wondering about the wonders of the world. How does wood float? You’d think because it’s heavy, it would sink, and yet the original surfboards in Hawaii, were made out of local tree’s wood. It’s a phenomenon, but until someone tells me in laymen’s terms, how and why these things occur, I am going to just surf my Foam Surfboard, and ride the waves as they come.
